Bret Quagliara

Senior Designer

Bret holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, and has over 15 years of experience in the fields of architecture and design. He has contributed to a diverse set of project types, including a large high-speed rail terminal, an international K-12 education campus, mid-rise residential buildings, single-family homes, and event spaces serving New York City’s art community.

Before joining DXA in 2025, Bret co-founded the Brooklyn-based architecture firm Group Projects. Their work encompassed the design of a mandala meditation studio, single-family homes in New York’s Hudson Valley and Catskill region, as well as residential and commercial projects in New York City. His previous design roles have been at the New York offices of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, LEVENBETTS, and Tronic Studio. His work has appeared in T Magazine, Arquitectura Viva, and The New York Times.

Through his experience working in the field of architecture, Bret has developed a strong interest in visual communication. This has led him to collaborate on projects in other creative industries, with the design of a print magazine focused on art and culture, websites and branding elements for design studios, and motion graphics for digital short films. He has also taught visual representation workshops centered on rendering techniques and 3D modeling for Parson’s School of Design.
