Lina Celis, an architect from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, has been exploring the concept of 'inhabiting consciously,' emphasizing the notion of 'home' as a feeling rather than a physical space. Lina worked with El Equipo Mazzanti and its competition team on international proposals for educational spaces. Later on, she joined Left Angle Partnership studio, where she had the opportunity to develop residential, office, and retail spaces. With a Master's degree with honors in Textiles from Parsons School of Design in New York, she focuses her research on an ethical and decolonized sense of home intertwined with a mixed identity framework.
Lina has garnered recognition through the Dorothy Waxman Textile Design Prize 2022, the CFDA Scholarship Fund 2022, the Aquafil X Parsons School of Design Design for the Future Award 2023, and as a finalist in the Biodesign Challenge 2023. Nowadays, she is part of The Mycelium House: Material Exploration for a Zero-Carbon Tiny Home with AIANY is a co-founder of the transdisciplinary applied research group Colectivo de Palabreo, and is an active member of LaREM (La Reparación está en la Moda), a Colombian NGO.
