Paula received a MArch and PhD from the University of Washington and attended the Architectural Association in London as part of the Visiting Students Programme. She has over nine years of professional experience working on residential and commercial projects and over a decade of teaching experience. With a background in fine art, she brings to her practice more than ten years of experience in wood and metal fabrication.
Paula has since the opportunity to live and conduct research in London, Paris, Helsinki, and Stockholm. Her work is positioned at the intersection of architecture and phenomenology with a focus on the centrality of imagination to meaningful experience.
Paula is a recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal. She has held teaching positions at the University of Washington CBE and Parsons SCE. Her work has been published in conference proceedings, journals, and anthologies as well as the New York Times, Popular Mechanics, French GQ.
Paula is a registered architect in the state of New York. She joined DXA studio in 2022.
