Shane received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Dublin School of Architecture, DIT in 2014. During his studies he interned at Rhatigans Architects in Sligo, Ireland and worked for the landscape architecture company Blackwood Designs. Upon Graduation, Shane subsequently joined the well-established firm Vincent Hannon Architects in Sligo, Ireland. He has worked on a large scope of work while in practice, ranging from large scale commercial work including hostel design, office redevelopment, healthcare and a large stadium redevelopment to being lead architect on a private residential project.
Shane actively pursues other areas of design interest, having entered a number of architectural competitions including the RIAI traveling scholarship in 2013 where he was selected for exhibition and the W.B Yeats International competition in 2015. He has also worked on graphic design branding back in Ireland.
Shane joined DXA studio in May of 2015 and has contributed to a variety of projects including the 280 St. Marks Ave apartment complex in Brooklyn, two townhouse renovations on the Upper west side and DXA’s proposal for the WW1 Memorial design competition in Washington, D.C.
