Tigran Kostandyan is an Armenian architect and educator based in New York. His design research engages with supply chains through the lens of architecture and the environment, utilizing cinematography, model-making, algorithms, and storytelling.
He has worked in architecture and exhibition design in New York, Sharjah, and Dubai, including for the Sharjah Art Foundation, where he led the design of in-house architectural projects, as well as coordinated production and design for several exhibitions. In New York, he worked on various residential, cultural, and commercial ground-up and adaptive reuse projects, taking a leading role in their design and development.
Tigran was a research fellow at the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture, and Design, where he contributed to a number of publications for Strelka Mag, including "Eating the Planet." He has also taught at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, among other teaching experiences.
Tigran received a Bachelor of Architecture from the American University of Sharjah and a Master's in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, GSAPP.
