Will graduated from Virginia Tech Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture. While at Virginia Tech, he had the opportunity to study and work in Chicago as part of the Virginia Tech Chicago Studio, where he developed a passion for designing within an urban landscape. Additionally, he participated in constructing and maintaining the Virginia Tech FutureHAUS, a modular protype house; explored digitally fabricated 3D printed folding shelter systems as part of an independent research project; and completed an independent study in film photography, exploring spaces through double exposures.
Will’s thesis centered on the ideas of ambiguity and collage, as they relate to a building’s use and to architectural representation. Collaging fragments of buildings of the architectural canon allowed for an exploration of new forms and new uses for these existing spaces.
Will joined DXA studio in Summer 2023.
