DXA was part of the Time Space Existence Exhibition held as a part of the 2018 Venice Biennale. The six month event, which was in its fourth year of exhibition at the Biennale, showed a broad selection of work from architects, photographers, sculptors, and universities from across the globe.
Participants’ work focused on the fundamental, existential questions associated with the concepts of time and space, and how architecture interacts with these philosophical ideas. The participating architects and artists came from a diverse mix of cultural backgrounds and ranged from established professionals to those just starting out.
DXA exhibited a scaled façade mock-up and projected animation of an early design iteration of 827-831 Broadway, a renovation to Willem de Kooning’s New York City studio.
