This full-house renovation embraces the history of the original 1905 residence while proposing several contemporary interventions. The house itself works in concert with an award-winning garden landscape that creates a series of outdoor rooms that engage with and extend the interior spaces.

On the ground floor, a dilapidated green house was reconstructed into a four-season sunroom with floor to ceiling casement windows and sky lights above. The power room was tucked in behind the sunroom and features an 8’ stone vanity. Off the end of the sunroom, the rear garden unfolds with a fountain, a corten steel fireplace and an outdoor terrace.

The third floor was completely re-imagined as a sky-lit primary suite and art studio combination. In the bedroom, built-in casework provides closet space and conceals mechanical units, and in the bath a free-standing tub and shower are the focal point. On the second floor, the secondary bathroom was expanded in tandem with the conversion of an extra bedroom into a library.
